Business Developer & Key Account Manager
As a Business developer & Key Account Manager Middle-east and APAC, you will be responsible for expanding United Petfood’s presence in the Middle east and Asia-Pacific region by developing strong relationships with key retailers, brand-owners, and industry stakeholders. You will drive sales growth, ensure smooth market entry, and strengthen our position as a trusted manufacturing partner.
Function
Business Development:
Market development: You conduct monthly reviews, analyze sales pipelines, and proactively identify growth opportunities to help (potential) customers grow in volume and enhance their product portfolio with high-care solutions.
Market Intelligence: You monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop new opportunities.
Private Label Expertise: You guide customers and prospects through the private-label process, including product development, packaging, regulatory compliance, and pricing strategies.
Key Account Management:
Customer relationship management: You are the main point of contact for key clients, ensuring top-notch service and long-term collaboration. You strengthen partnerships through expertise and innovation and position United Petfood as their go-to partner for sustainable business growth.
Drive sales & growth: You identify new business opportunities, analyze assortments, and leverage cross-selling strategies across different business lines. You identify and capitalize on potential growth opportunities within the existing client base.
Cross-team collaboration: You hold regular meetings with multiple production sites to monitor progress, anticipate challenges, and optimize workflows. You ensure consistency in service and a smooth coordination.
CRM accuracy: You ensure all relevant customer information and interactions are accurately recorded and maintained in the CRM system.
Profile
You hold at least a bachelor's degree and have 5+ years experience in export sales, business development, or international trade, preferably in pet food, FMCG, or food manufacturing.
You have a strong understanding of private label manufacturing and supply chain processes.
You have proven track record in developing and managing business, to close deals and to build lasting relationships in the region.
You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently within an open structure where tasks are not always strictly defined.
You are an excellent communicator in English, comfortable working with different stakeholders while balancing various interests.
You are flexible and open to travel frequently across the region to meet clients, attend industry events, and drive business growth.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
