Logistics Operations Coordinator
PURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure the correct, accurate, and timely registration, coordination, and follow-up of all inbound and outbound goods through the site, supporting smooth logistics operations, compliance, and efficient production flow.
POSITION IN ORGANIZATION
Reports to the Logistics Manager / Operations Manager.
RESULT AREAS
Organization
• Registers and controls all inbound and outbound vehicles at the site.
• Coordinates weighing activities for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Ensures correct documentation and data entry of weights, deliveries, and dispatches in the ERP system.
• Verifies delivery documents, transport documents, and supplier/customer paperwork.
• Support first point of contact for drivers, transporters, and logistics partners on site.
• Ensures smooth coordination between logistics, warehouse, production, quality, and planning departments.
• Supports the efficient flow of raw materials and finished products to avoid delays in production or dispatch.
• Ensures correct stock movements and registrations in the system.
• Supports compliance with internal procedures, safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
Administration
• Maintains accurate and complete records of all weighing’s and logistics transactions.
• Prepares and distributes delivery notes, weighing tickets, and transport documentation.
• Reports deviations, discrepancies, or irregularities in weights or documentation.
• Supports logistics reporting and KPI tracking where required.
FEATURES

• Communicates clearly and professionally with drivers, transport companies, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Escalates issues such as delays, incorrect deliveries, or documentation errors to the responsible manager.
• Ensures timely and accurate internal communication regarding arrivals, departures, and deviations.
• Communicates safety rules and site procedures to visitors and drivers.
Responsibilities
• Ensures that weighing procedures are carried out correctly and accurately.
• Ensures that inbound and outbound goods comply with delivery specifications and quality requirements.
• Follows established logistics and site procedures at all times.
• Identifies and reports opportunities for improvement in logistics processes.
• Supports audits, inspections, and internal controls related to logistics and stock movements.
Responsibility
• Responsible for accurate data entry and documentation of logistics activities.
• Responsible for safe working practices at the weighbridge and logistics area.
• Responsible for reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or deviations immediately.
• Responsible for confidentiality and correct handling of company and customer information.
